I joined Brighter Futures in September 2018, following many years working as a travel agent and as a support worker with young adults and children with additional needs. I also volunteered with Mencap in my hometown of Bristol.
I began my journey with Brighter Futures as part of the Crèche Team, a role I thoroughly enjoyed for three years. I was then excited to take on a new challenge when the opportunity arose to become a Coordinator.
As part of my role, I support our Growing Together programmes, helping parents and carers strengthen their relationships with their children through play, learning and shared experiences.
I am passionate about supporting families in the best way I can and am always keen to continue learning and developing in my role. I recently completed my Level 4 qualification in Working with Families, which has further strengthened my knowledge and skills and has been a really rewarding achievement.
During my time in the Crèche Team, parents often told me how safe and reassured they felt leaving their children in my care. I am very proud of this feedback, as creating a safe, welcoming and nurturing environment for children and families is something that remains extremely important to me.
