Recognition given to Brighter Futures Charity for supporting families, was acknowledged at the International Mellow Parenting Awards in Glasgow.
20 June 2025 in Glasgow, Brighter Futures has been recognised for two prestigious accolades at the 2025 Mellow Parenting Awards, Sustainable Practice Award, and the Long-Term Commitment Award, for enduring and impactful delivery of the Mellow Parenting programme. They were delighted to be announced as winners of the Long-Term Commitment Award.
A special acknowledgement was made to the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) team in Jersey for their ongoing collaboration and support in co-delivering the programme with Brighter Futures.
Margaret Bailey accepted the awards on behalf of Brighter Futures at the ceremony.
She acknowledged over a decade of commitment to improving outcomes for families through therapeutic, evidence-based parenting support.
Since 2011, Brighter Futures has run the Mellow Parenting programme in partnership with CAMHS, delivering two 12-week cohorts annually. To date, more than 240 parents have completed the programme, which supports those navigating the complex and demanding task of parenting pre-school children. The model integrates play work, video feedback, and therapeutic guidance to foster healthier parent-child relationships and long-term resilience.
“These awards are a reflection of our team’s dedication and the strong, sustained collaboration with CAMHS,” said Margaret. “Together, we've made Mellow Parenting a cornerstone of our service, ensuring families receive the compassionate, consistent support they need.”
The Long-Term Commitment Award recognises Brighter Futures’ enduring integration of Mellow Parenting into its core services, while the Sustainable Practice Award highlights the team’s holistic, multi-disciplinary approach to family support, professional development, and partnership building.
