Ice Ice Savo win 2-1 against The Tommy Burns CSC at inaugural Brighter Futures football event.
What a fantastic morning on Sunday 27 August 2023, watching so many teams support Brighter Futures Jersey, as well as enjoying a great morning of football at Oakfield!
We raised more than enough to support two more Brighter Futures families.
We took photos on the day to capture the teams and some of the play - we hope you like them!
Thank you to all the teams and our fantastic Gold Sponsor, Ogier, and our Silver Sponsor, the Jersey Celtic Supporters Club, who also both played and supported the Football for Futures event!
After a closely fought final that led to a penalty shoot-out, Ice Ice Savo just triumphed over Jersey Celtic with a score of 2-1.
Our HUGE thanks go to every team that played, Pat Brennan for organising the day, Luke Nerac and the fabulous referees, Peter for his first aid presence, and Standard Bank Group, Melissa from Tropic and Joe at Hank Marvin Jersey for the generous raffle prizes.
Thank you also to Jersey Water for providing the water unit, and the Sports Booking Team for enabling us to use Oakfield.Finally, thanks to our team and volunteers, who always go the extra mile to make our events what they are - special, memorable and supportive of families in Jersey. We'll be back next year, so even more teams can join the fun!
