Brighter Futures Ladies Lunch Raises £129,888 for Jersey Families

GROUVILLE, Jersey – The annual Ladies Lunch in aid of Brighter Futures has exceeded all expectations, raising a total of £129,888 to support families across Jersey.

Held on Thursday, 6 November at Gouray Lodge for the sixth-year running, the event welcomed 125 guests for an afternoon of fine dining, live music, and heartfelt words from BAFTA Award-winning TV presenter Jane McDonald, who captivated the audience with her warmth and sincerity.

Guests were treated to performances by The Optimistic Voices, while DJ Lora set the tone as guests arrived and departed. The event also featured a live auction, hosted by Nicki Kennedy, with a selection of exclusive items that drew generous bids. Becky Gimenez served as MC for the day, and photographer Ollie Jones documented the occasion.

Sponsored by Boutique Yacht Broker Cecil Wright, this year’s event continues a tradition that has already raised over £500,000 in past years. Funds raised will directly support Brighter Futures’ work with over 150 families per week, helping to deliver essential services including one-to-one coordinator support and access to education and wellbeing programs.

Fiona Brennan, CEO of Brighter Futures, said:

“This was an incredible afternoon that brought together generosity, friendship and a shared belief in the importance of our work. We are grateful beyond words to the Ambassadors for their continued commitment and for delivering yet another successful event.”

Event host Georgie Roberts added:

“We’re absolutely thrilled with the outcome. It’s a privilege to support Brighter Futures and to see the community come together in such a meaningful way. We’re already planning for the 2026 lunch on 5 November and are taking table bookings already as we hope to continue building on this momentum.”

Brighter Futures extends its sincere thanks to all guests, supporters, and volunteers who made the event a huge success.
