Brighter Futures has been announced as a charitable partner of Arthouse Jersey for the Island Drawing Challenge 2023.

Together with other Jersey charities, Brighter Futures staff, clients, and families are being invited to draw and paint pictures on a theme close to that charity’s heart - “Families and Loved Ones”, chosen by Arthouse Jersey.

Our week to be able to post photos of your pictures online is Friday 3rd March – Thursday 9th March 2023.

Your loved one could be anyone and anything! This could be a pet, a parent or carer, a sibling, a family group or anyone who the drawer thinks of and feels happy.

The age of the artist doesn’t matter. You can enjoy drawing whether you are a parent or min carer we work with, a child or a family, or even one of the Brighter Futures staff family!

Carrie Cooper from Arthouse Jersey said:

"ArtHouse Jersey is delighted to announce their five week long ‘Island Drawing Challenge’ which will run alongside the Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize exhibition.

Each Friday from 17 February 2023, the arts charity will launch a new drawing theme via social media channels, (Facebook, Instagram and Twitter). The theme of the week will speak directly to the core work and focus of a featured local charity.

Charities taking part in the ‘Island Drawing Challenge’ include Jersey Trees for Life with the theme ‘The Wonder of Nature’, Beresford Street Kitchen with ‘Soul Food’, Brighter Futures with ‘Families & Loved Ones’, Jersey Mencap with ‘And Relax…’, and Art in the Frame who will share with week with ArtHouse Jersey offering people the opportunity to have an artistic free-for all and draw whatever they please."
