Brighter Futures Jersey appoints two new Board Members

The Jersey charity Brighter Futures has appointed two new Directors to its Board.

Antonia Burgess and Christopher Journeaux have become Directors of Brighter Futures Limited with immediate effect, joining the Board of the charity which supports families, children and young people in Jersey.

Antonia Burgess is a professional Non-Executive Director. She has held senior leadership roles in legal and financial services businesses in London and Jersey and brings a wealth of corporate governance and risk management experience to the board. Antonia also chairs Brighter Futures’ Fundraising and Marketing Sub-Committee.

Christopher Journeaux is a Psychotherapist in private practice, working with both children and adults. He also has a long working history as a Marketing professional and consultant. Having been a trustee and board member of other Jersey charities, he has wide experience of the sector and specifically brings his marketing knowledge to Brighter Futures to further strengthen the Board.

Commenting on the Board appointments, Chairman of Brighter Futures, Martin Fricker, said: “Our dedicated and hardworking Board are crucial to the success and good governance of the charity . We are delighted that both Antonia and Christopher have joined our impressive Board team of Wendy Hurford MBE (Founder and President of Brighter Futures), our Treasurer Ashley Pearse, Paul Rouse, Rosie Stott, and Kirsten Morel. They will bring additional skills to the Board and provide support to our CEO Fiona Brennan.”
