Brighter Futures CEO Fiona Brennan Nominated for Pride of Jersey Ambassador of the Year!.

Pride of Jersey Ambassador of the Year!

We are delighted to share that Fiona Brennan, CEO and Founder of Brighter Futures, has been nominated for the Ambassador of the Year Award at the Pride of Jersey Awards 2026.

The nomination recognises Fiona’s longstanding commitment to supporting children, parents and families across Jersey and the difference that Brighter Futures has made to hundreds of local families.

Fiona was nominated by Sam Goguelin, a former Brighter Futures client and now a Parent Ambassador, who has experienced first-hand the support provided by Fiona and the Brighter Futures team.

Sam described how Fiona goes above and beyond to support parents and children, giving families hope, understanding and the practical tools they need to build a brighter future.

“Without Fiona and her amazing team at Brighter Futures, so many families would be at a loss. I would be in a completely different position now if it wasn’t for Fiona and her team.”

A commitment to Jersey families

Since establishing Brighter Futures, Fiona has remained at the heart of the charity and its work with families across the Island.

Today, Brighter Futures provides a wide range of free support for parents, carers, children and young people, including one-to-one family support, parenting and early years programmes, mental health and wellbeing support, groups, activities and opportunities that bring families together.

This support extends beyond structured programmes. From family beach days and holiday activities to breakfast clubs, respite opportunities and community events, the aim is to ensure families feel supported, included and able to create positive experiences together.

The nomination is particularly meaningful at a time when the charity continues to meet significant demand while receiving just 8.7% of its funding from Government. The remainder must be raised through charitable trusts and grants, corporate partnerships, fundraising events and the generosity of the Jersey community.

Sam said Fiona’s dedication and commitment to helping families made her a deserving nominee for the Ambassador of the Year Award.
