DONATIONS.
Giving is not simply about making a donation; it is about making a real and lasting difference to the lives of children and families who need support most.
Since 2008, Brighter Futures has supported over 4,300 families, benefitting over 15,900 Islanders. Working alongside the main carer, our educational model provides them with ways to thrive.
It currently costs Brighter Futures approximately £8,000 to work with a whole family for a year.
Our overall running costs for 2026 are more than £1.2 million and we rely heavily on the generosity of the Island to generate our income.
All donations help us run our evidence-based and quality-driven programmes alongside our one-to-one coordinator support.
- Nine different Personal Development Programmes.
- Seven Parent and Carer Child Groups
- Six Effective Health & Wellbeing Programmes
- And a monthly Dads’ Club
Key life events: You may wish to support Brighter Futures at significant moments in your life, such as a wedding, anniversary, or birthday, or to honour the memory of a loved one through a donation made in their name.
Gifts in Wills: Charities are strongest when they are supported for the long term. Leaving a gift in your Will enables Brighter Futures to continue providing essential services and to play a vital role in creating positive, lasting change for children and families in Jersey.
A legacy is the final chapter of a person’s life story. It can reflect personal values, beliefs, and experiences, and ensure that what matters most to you continues to make a difference for future generations. At Brighter Futures, we understand the importance of respecting and honouring those wishes.
If you would like to find out more, or to have an informal and confidential conversation about leaving a legacy to Brighter Futures in your Will, please contact our fundraising team at fundraising@brighterfutures.org.je or call 01534 449487.

🔗 - Jersey Gift Support scheme - Reclaiming tax: If you live in Jersey and pay income tax, you can support registered charities through the Jersey Gift Support scheme. This allows charities to claim an additional 25 pence for every £1 you donate. From January 2026, changes to tax law mean that, when completing this form, you must confirm that you are independently assessed for Jersey income tax and that you pay sufficient tax to cover the 25% Jersey Gift Support claimed on your donation. Only donors who are Jersey income taxpayers in their own right are eligible to participate in the Jersey Gift Support scheme.
