Exclusively for Brighter Futures families – places are limited!

Brighter Futures is excited to launch Small Canvases, Big Impact: Memories and Dreams, a new four-week creative project delivered in partnership with ArtHouse Jersey and kindly sponsored by Aztec and Haute Vallée School.

Families will explore their memories, hopes, wishes and dreams through art and creativity, with ideas and guidance from our lead artist-educators Sophia and Melissa, alongside support and encouragement from the Brighter Futures team.

No artistic experience is needed! This is about families having fun, experimenting with different materials and enjoying the opportunity to create together.

So much more than canvases!

Across the four weeks, families will have the opportunity to explore different creative techniques and materials, including painting, watercolour, pastels, gel printing, collage and more.

As part of the project, each family will also work towards creating four small canvases, building a unique collection inspired by their memories and dreams.

At the end of the project, three canvases will be yours to take home and keep, while each family will choose one special canvas to be exhibited at CaféJac, Jersey Arts Centre.

Following the exhibition, the displayed canvases will be donated to Brighter Futures and offered for sale at a private Brighter Futures luncheon in November, helping to raise funds for the charity.

Dates & Times

Families can choose either the Tuesday or Wednesday Group. As the creative work will develop throughout the four weeks, families must attend the same group for all four sessions.

Tuesday Group takes place on:
15th September, 22nd September, 29th September and 6th October

Wednesday Group takes place on:
16th September, 23rd September, 30th September and 7th October

Time: 3.30pm – 4.30pm

Family Sessions & Crèche

These are family sessions, with parents and children encouraged to get involved and create together.

We appreciate that babies and toddlers may be too young to participate fully, so our Brighter Futures crèche will be available if required.

If you require a crèche place for your child or children, please state this when registering.

Places are limited, so please book with your 1:1 Brighter Futures Coordinator as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

When registering, please confirm whether you would like to join the Tuesday or Wednesday Group and whether you require a crèche place.
